Keep an eye out for slugs and snails as the weather gets wetter

An increase in white fly.

Harvest, harvest, harvest

Deal with slugs and snails with whatever methods you see fit, slug pellets or egg shells.

Try to control increasing populations of white fly using whatever methods you seem fit this could be soft soap or insecticides.

Complete pruning stone fruit trees this month e.g. plum, apricot, gage and cherries.

Prune out fruited stems on blackberries and hybrids. Tie in this year’s growth which will fruit next year.

Lift onions and allow them to dry before storing.

Start digging up main crops like potatoes ready for storage.

Harvest squashes when ready

Pick chillies and peppers as the ripen

Slow down on watering greenhouse plants as nights become cooler and remove dead leaves from plants.
